This week, we celebrate the men and women of EMS who answer the call no matter the hour, weather, or situation.

From medical emergencies and vehicle accidents to disasters and critical incidents, our EMS crews show up with skill, compassion, and courage every single day. They step into chaos to bring calm, provide lifesaving care under pressure, and stand beside our communities during some of life’s hardest moments.

As Emergency Management Director, I have the privilege of working alongside these dedicated professionals and seeing firsthand the sacrifices they make for others. Their commitment, teamwork, and selfless service do not go unnoticed.

To every EMT, paramedic, and EMS provider thank you for the long hours, the missed holidays, the sleepless nights, and the unwavering dedication to protecting our communities. We are grateful for each and every one of you.

Please join me in recognizing and thanking our incredible EMS crews during National EMS Week. πŸš‘πŸ’™

The severe weather risk has been extended farther eastward into N Indiana mainly for a wind risk. Hail cannot be ruled out. Our same thinking on timing and conditionality of the second event apply.
