An article on how elections are run and what each branch does!

If you’ve ever wondered who is responsible for running elections, the answer involves multiple levels of government and election officials.

Below is a general overview of the roles involved, including state election officials, county election officials, local election workers, and Election Protection resources.

Because election responsibilities can vary, we encourage you to do your own research and learn more about the officials and offices responsible for elections in your community. Have a question or experience a problem while voting? 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) provides nonpartisan voter assistance.

Thank you to the LaPorte and Porter County Democrats for putting on an awesome event!! Cliff Cash was hilarious and hit the nail on the head!! We got to listen to some candidates that were present Senator Joe Donnelly, Congressman Frank Mrvan, Comptroller candidate Jessica Bailey, Senator Rodney Pol and Indiana State Representative District 20 candidate Laura Liskey.

It was an evening of some good belly laughs and we all need that nowadays 😂

Here Jamee is talking with a taxpayer at the North Judson town hall meeting!! That night was quite insightful!! Let’s go Decio!💙🩵💙!

At every town hall I've held, people are concerned about AI data centers and how we balance economic growth with protecting our communities.

You've asked what I will do to speak up for our district as data centers expand. As your representative, I will fight to:

➡️ Put decision-making power in the hands of local voters, not secret agreements and backroom deals. If the community says no data center, that's the final answer.

➡️ Ensure that if a community approves a data center, tech companies pay their own costs, including grid upgrades, so local utility rates don't spike.

➡️ Require union labor for construction and full environmental restoration when facilities close.
