Hey KCES 3rd and 4th graders! Don't forget about the Laser Tag Fundraiser being put on by Chief Smith, our KCSC Resource Officer. The event is Friday, 4/17, after school. Chief Smith will set up laser tag matches for kids who come to join the fun. Matches will be in age bands. 3rd through 5th graders will compete against one another and 6th through 8th graders will face off.
If your 3rd or 4th grader is going, please send a note to their teacher giving permission for them to be escorted to KMS after dismissal.

Good morning, Knox families. Due to fog this morning, Knox Community Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, March 6th, 2026.

There will be no AM preschool and no AM vocational classes at the high school.

Also, because we are delaying school on a Friday, there will be no early release today. School will dismiss at normal time.

February Crew : Every month at KCES our teachers in grades 1st-4th select a student from their classroom to represent their class on the KCES Kindness Crew. These students are selected for their positive attitude, leadership skills, kindness, compassion for others, and their willingness to help in the classroom.

Our February Crew was busy delivering Friday Food, planning activities for Random Acts of Kindness Week, and creating a mural for our IREAD testers :)

SAVE THE DATE! We will be doing a Kindergarten Round Up for incoming students who are 5 years old by August 1, 2026. Our event will take place on Tuesday, April 7th, beginning at 3:00 p.m. More details will follow about how to register and what to bring. Can't wait to meet our newest little Redskins!
