🎒 Back to School Means Safety First!

As students head back to the classroom, let us all do our part to make the school year a safe one.

Here are a few simple reminders:
🚌 Stop for school buses when their stop arm is extended.
🚸 Slow down and stay alert in school zones.
📱 Put distractions away while driving.
🚶 Watch carefully for children crossing streets, especially near bus stops and crosswalks.
🚲 Remind kids to wear helmets when riding bicycles and to look both ways before crossing.

A little extra caution can help ensure every student arrives safely to and from school.

From all of us at the Priority Ambulance family of companies, we wish students, teachers, and families a safe, healthy, and successful school year!

🚦 Stop on Red. Save Lives.

Every day, drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and first responders rely on one another to make safe choices on the road. During Stop on Red Week, the Priority Ambulance family of companies is joining the effort to raise awareness about the importance of stopping at every red light.

Running a red light may save only a few seconds, but it can have life-changing consequences. Many intersection crashes happen because drivers are distracted, speeding, or trying to beat a yellow light.

Help keep our roads safer by remembering to:
🔴 Come to a complete stop at every red light.
🚗 Slow down as you approach intersections.
📱 Stay focused and avoid distractions behind the wheel.
🚸 Watch for pedestrians and bicyclists before proceeding.
🚦 Never rush through a yellow light if it is safe to stop.

Whether you're heading to work, driving your family, or responding to an emergency, making safe choices at intersections helps protect everyone on the road.

Together, we can help prevent crashes and make our communities safer.

As temperatures continue to climb, a few simple habits can make a big difference:
💦 Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly.
😎 Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.

☀️Summer heat can become dangerous faster than you think.

Whether you're working outdoors, enjoying the lake, cheering from the sidelines, or simply running errands, taking a few extra precautions can help prevent heat-related illnesses.

Remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a minute.
👵 Check in on older adults, young children, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

It's also important to recognize the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If someone is showing signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately. Quick action can save a life.

☀️🏊 Make Water Safety Part of Your Summer Plans

Nothing says summer like time spent at the pool, lake, or beach—but water safety should always come first.

Whether you're swimming, boating, or simply relaxing by the water, a few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe:

💙 Never leave children unattended near water—even for a moment.
👀 Designate a responsible "Water Watcher" whose only job is supervising swimmers.
🛟 Wear a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket when appropriate, especially for inexperienced swimmers and while boating.
📱 Keep phones and other distractions to a minimum when supervising children.
🏊 Learn CPR, and encourage every member of your family to become a confident swimmer.
🚑 Keep rescue equipment and a phone nearby in case of an emergency.

Water emergencies can happen quickly and quietly. Staying alert and prepared can make all the difference.

From all of us at the Priority OnDemand family of companies, we hope you have a fun, safe, and memorable summer on the water! 💙
