The City of Knoxville's Office of Special Events strives to make our community a desired city in which to "Live, Work & Play". This office oversee's the many special events that happen within the City of Knoxville. Our responsibilites include, planning and overseeing a wide array of events and publicity efforts designed to promote various programs and initiatives based upon the Mayor and the City

of Knoxville's mission. This includes public speaking engagements, celebrations, ground breakings, ribbon cuttings and festivals.

⚠️ Neyland Greenway Detour Begins Wednesday, Sept. 2

A temporary detour will route greenway users around Neyland Entertainment District construction along Neyland Drive, between Lake Loudoun Boulevard and the boat house.

The City of Knoxville-approved route will be marked with signage and barriers to help guide pedestrians, cyclists and other users safely through the area. Please follow posted signs and use caution.

Saturday in downtown Knoxville will offer fun for everyone -- with Market Square Farmers Market and East Tennessee Historical Society History Fair. Prepare for hot weather -- drink plenty of water and take breaks. There will also be road closures, including Gay Street between Clinch and Church from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
