Happy National Aviation Day! ✈️

From the early days of flight to fueling the mission around the globe, the 134th Air Refueling Wing is proud to be part of America’s aviation legacy.

Today, we celebrate the aircraft, innovation and, most importantly, the Airmen who keep us flying.

Ready. Trained. Lethal.

Airmen from the 134th Security Forces Squadron recently put their skills to the test during M240B machine gun and crew-served weapons training at an East Tennessee range.

The training sharpened proficiency, teamwork, and the ability to deliver disciplined, sustained firepower when the mission demands it.

Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s Purple Heart recipients.

Their service and sacrifice serve as a lasting reminder of the cost of defending our nation and the freedoms we hold dear.

We remember. We honor. 💜

Happy Air Force Day! ✈️

Did you know Air Force Day is different from the Air Force Birthday?

Air Force Day (Aug. 1) recognizes the beginning of America’s military aviation heritage with the creation of the Aeronautical Division in 1907.

The Air Force Birthday (Sept. 18) celebrates the U.S. Air Force becoming an independent military branch in 1947.

Today, we honor where our story began.

BEAT THE HEAT 🔥

Even when the temperatures climb, our airmen keep putting in the work that keeps us ready.

The 134th Civil Engineering Squadron firefighters recently fought the flames during a live fire event at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, building the skills and teamwork that make a difference when it matters most.

Falcon Defender is an annual joint training exercise between the Tennessee Air National Guard and Bulgarian force protection units and integrates service members from both countries into small teams for hands-on, specialized training.

For Falcon Defender 26, there is a heavier focus on base defense than in previous iterations as the teams work together practicing troop movements, range navigation, and building defensive fighting positions.
