Just submitted my farewell as Miss Knoxville and “I’m sick” (iykyk) 😭

This year has been the greatest blessing from God. I have served many times as both a teen and miss within the Miss America opportunity, but this experience was entirely different.

I decided to rise to the occasion and committed my year not only to serving the place I love and call home wholeheartedly, but to challenging myself, push beyond my comfort zone, and truly learn to become a better version of myself. Representing Knoxville has given me so much more than I could have ever imagined, and it’s a gift I will cherish forever.

Throughout the next two days leading up to Saturday’s Miss Knoxville/Miss Anderson County/Miss Secret City Competition (there’s still time to sign up and compete missknoxvilleorg!), I’ll be sharing some of my favorite memories from this year and special thank you’s 💐

Cheers to celebrating this beautiful dream come true… 🥹🧡

First Runner-Up. 🤍

What a week.

I’m incredibly honored to have finished as First Runner-Up at Miss Tennessee, but the title I’m taking home is one I’m even more proud of: MYSELF.

This year, I worked harder than I ever have before. Every decision I made, every hour of preparation, and every choice leading up to this week was intentional. For the first time, I truly felt like every phase of competition reflected my heart, my values, and who I am.

And that means everything.

For a long time, I struggled with the feeling of being misunderstood. This week, I felt seen for who I am at my core. I showed up as myself, trusted my preparation, and allowed myself to be vulnerable in ways I never had before.

The result? Supernatural peace.

From interview to the final moments on stage, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm. I was present. I was grateful. I was having fun.

Getting to share this life-changing moment with Makalyn was one of the greatest gifts of this entire experience. While many people saw two friends on stage together, very few know just how much she has encouraged and supported me since our friendship began last summer. She has championed me every step of the way, and watching her become Miss Tennessee was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever experienced. Tennessee, we have an incredible new queen and we are so excited to rally around you as you represent the Volunteer State 👑

A few special thank-yous:

🤍 To my incredible family and friends: To have more than 20 people for my village in-house to support me from all over meant the absolute world to me. Thank you for being here for this special week!

🩺 To The Bone and Joint Institute Urgent Care of Brentwood: Thank you for helping me on Monday morning before competition week—most people had no idea I competed all week with a sprained ankle 😅 (TYJ for extra strength!)

👑 To my queen, icon, and lifelong role model, Erica Dunlap: Our conversation after finals gave me more encouragement than I could put into words. Thank you for sharing your heart with me.

🤍 To the Miss Tennessee Class of 2026: Thank you for being the most supportive, loving, and genuine group of women I’ve ever competed alongside. I mean that wholeheartedly!

📣 And to the people of Tennessee: Thank you for cheering me on, praying for me, and making me feel so loved this week.

My heart is SO full. This year has shifted my perspective on life for the better, and I’m leaving Nashville with so much gratitude for the journey, the friendships, and the reminder that being fully yourself is always enough.

What a beautiful week! 🥹🫶🏾✨

Preliminary Night One 👑🤍

What a special night at the 72nd annual Miss Tennessee Competition! After months of preparation, prayers, rehearsals, and anticipation, the Miss Tennessee sisterhood hit the Fisher Center stage in our beautiful The Clothes Tree Nashville opening number cocktails and put on an incredible show.

Last night, I had the opportunity to compete in Talent and Evening Gown, and I walked off stage with a heart full of gratitude and peace. What a joy it was to share the stage with such an incredible group of women from across our state!

I am so proud of the work that brought me to this moment and grateful for every person who has poured into this journey. Thank you to my precious family, the team at The Clothes Tree Nashville, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who have encouraged me every step of the way.

Congratulations to tonight’s preliminary winners Miss Middle Tennessee 2026 Miss Jackson 💐

One more night to go! See you tonight for Fitness and On-Stage Question 💪🏾🎤✨

Mid-week check-in! 🫶🏾👑 It’s been an amazing Miss Tennessee week so far, filled with moments I will never forget!

I am so grateful for this year spent representing Knoxville, advocating for the power of childhood volunteerism across our state and nation, and serve as an ambassador for the Miss America Opportunity.

This organization and the people at the heart of it are an important part of the village that continues to raise me and shape my life. What a feeling to be surrounded by Tennessee’s best and brightest young women! 🤍

Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on the younger version of Meghan and what she would think of where this journey has taken us…

I think she would be proud. Not because of any title or accomplishment, but because she never stopped saying “yes” to growth, service, and the people who believed in her along the way.

The younger Meghan posing with the Miss America Atlantic City Boardwalk statue could have never imagined the places this journey would take her or the incredible people it would bring into her life.

My heart is so full this week! Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and helped make this experience so special.

And a special thank you to Shelby Durham for capturing so many incredible moments throughout this week! We are so grateful for your talent, generosity, and these memories frozen in time. I can’t wait to see your photos from the first night of preliminary competition and the beautiful images captured by Gonzalez Media Productions 📸✨
