The Art Show is here! Show off your t-rrific artwork at select library locations this summer and flex those creative muscles while also earning five activities of credit toward the Roar into a Story challenge on your Jurassic Tracker. That's a whole prize from the prize box, just for submitting your triceratop-notch art!

Art must be submitted on 9” x 12” tag board provided by the library at registration.

We had an amazingly informational program at the Bearden Branch Library with a ton of Junior Paleontologists joining us to learn all about the Grey Fossil Site and how to excavate fossils. Whether you're discovering a new favorite author or deepening your connection to Tennessee’s literary landscape, The Local Chapter is your place to turn the page together.

Join local author, Tore Olsson, at the Burlington Branch Library on Saturday, June 20 at 2 for a book talk. Olsson is a history professor at the University of Tennessee and is a specialist on modern American history. He is the author of two books: "Red Dead’s History" and "Agrarian Crossings" and he's now working on a new book project titled "Grand Theft America", which also uses another video game franchise to narrate recent American history.

With Go Skateboarding Day around the corner on June 21st, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the all-time classic "Dogtown and Z-Boys" at this month's Daytime Docs screening at the Lawson McGhee Library this Sunday, June 14 at 2:00. This award-winning, thrilling story is about a group of discarded kids from Venice’s Dogtown who revolutionized skateboarding and shaped the attitude and culture of modern-day extreme sports. The round 1 winners are in for the Bone Wars Bracket! Even the Tyrant King's terrible reputation couldn't save him from elimination. Same for the three-horned Ornithischian, Triceratops. It goes to show, your vote matters—Spinosaurus overtook Mosasaurus by just 32 votes out of 782! The most notable win belongs to Pterodactyl, who took a pterrific 290-point victory over the infamous Compy!
