We are so excited for this week's Kid A'Riffic Fun in the Park on Wednesday June 24, as we will be partnering with the Historic Homes of Knoxville, East Tennessee Historical Society and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame to have a 250th Celebration on Hill Ave!
We will have lots of patriotic giveaways and fun, Historic Homes of Knoxville will have some living history, historic games, Knoxville Fire Department will be onsite with some water fun, and you will be able to enjoy free admission to Blount Mansion, James White's Fort and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, and as we do every week, free crafts and activities and free ice cream with B97.5!

We will be closing Hill Ave between State St and Hall of Fame for the event, but free parking is available at Dwight Kessel Garage, Blount Mansion and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

KFD is on the scene of a technical rescue. The ceiling collapsed inside of a home on Chestnut St. One patient was transferred for minor injuries, 8 others will be displaced.

In between running calls and station duties the A shift has been training on tanker / tender shuttle ops.

The crew at Station 9 C did some in-house training. Working on first in and pumping drills to maintain a high level of expertise.

It’s almost time for Kid A’ Riffic FUN in the park at Fire station number three on Baxter Avenue. It’s a beautiful morning outside and Knoxville so come down and visit us and have some fun in the park.

UPDATE: Justin and Janelle Craft were found safe on Hotel Road.

KPD detectives are attempting to finding missing Justin and Janelle Craft. Justin (age 12) and Janelle (age 13) are thought to have left on foot from a home in the 1500 block of Cecil Avenue earlier this afternoon.

Justin was wearing a red tank top with black jean shorts, while Janelle was wearing a black t-shirt and gray basketball shorts.

Call 9-1-1 if you see them or have info concerning their whereabouts.

We were able to have a promotional ceremony last night at the Bijou Theatre. Congratulations to all of the newly promoted Captains and Master Firefighters.
