Life Builders- Kodiak Island Housing Authority Life Builders is for young adults, ages 18-24, as they transition to independent living and self suf This program is staffed 24 hours a day.

Life Builders is a transitional living program designed to provide young adults with the opportunity to pursue employment, education, vocational training, and life skills in a safe and healthy living environment. The program is housed in a duplex in Kodiak with space available for 9 residents. Available to assist residents are a self sufficiency coordinator and an evening live in staff member. Wee

kends are covered with relief staff. This program offers young adults a 6-18 month living arrangement while gaining resources, skills and education/training to successfully transition to independent living. Preference is given to Alaska Native/American Indian applicants and low income applicants who reside in housing owned and developed by Kodiak Island Housing Authority.
