TerraTherm has recently filed a patent application for a novel approach using high temperature thermal catalysts to efficiently and completely destroy (remediate) all PFAS compounds. TerraTherm’s system addresses both PFAS present in the soil or treated media, as well as any PFAS in the extracted v***r stream. The technology is best suited for remediation of PFAS source zones (e.g., high concentrations in soil or sediment), and can be implemented both in situ, providing suitable groundwater conditions, or in specially engineered ex situ piles using thermal conduction heating.
