Cub Scouting 4-Month Plan Workshops

Two additional sessions have been added due to high demand. This plan pulls together specific (and fun!) activities to support Cub Scout rank advancement with weekly meetings. At its heart, it is designed for small and new packs, with multi-grade dens. Sign up for one of the webinars hosted by our national Cub Scouting committee. Register in advance for these added workshops.

PIN FIRST. ADVENTURE NEXT!

Fall recruiting season is here, and families are searching BeAScout for Scouts BSA troops in their communities.

Before the next adventure begins, troop leaders should take a few minutes to make sure their BeAScout unit pin is current and complete.

Your pin may be a prospective family’s first look at your troop. Scouting America recommends checking four key areas:

Contact information — Make sure families know who to contact and how to reach them.

Meeting location and details — Confirm when and where your troop meets.

Website and social media — Give families a way to learn more about your troop and upcoming activities.

Online applications — Make it easy for Scouts to join and parents to volunteer.

Scouting America has created a new “Pin First. Adventure Next!” resource with quick instructions, a detailed step-by-step guide, and information to help units get their pins ready for fall recruiting.
