Elected office is a form of public service, but Braun thinks it’s the only one.

You can tell a lot about the candidates for Governor by whom they have chosen to be their running mate.

The Lieutenant Governor has many responsibilities, including serving as the President of the Senate and overseeing the state offices of agriculture, rural development, housing, tourism, and more.

MVP Jennifer McCormick's Lieutenant Governor candidate Dr. Terry Goodin has been long involved with agriculture as a farmer himself and former USDA Rural Director. His faith guides him toward compassion, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Mike Braun's running mate, Micah Beckwith, is a "pastor" (no theology degree, though) and self-described Christian nationalist who wields his "faith" like a weapon of retribution. He has made his beliefs the cornerstone of his campaign, completely overstepping the separation of church and state.
