Downtown Kokomo is packed this weekend.

You’ve got the Kokomo Home Show at the Kokomo Conference Center, First Friday and The Kokomo Post bringing early Halloween fun throughout downtown, the Kokomo Downtown Farmers Market Saturday morning, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Foster Park, and two great exhibits at Artworks Gallery, including the opening of Carrie Baxter’s A Stillness in Layers.

There’s plenty of reason to head downtown, spend some time here and make a day of it. Shop, grab a bite, check out some art, visit an event and see what’s happening around the heart of Kokomo.

Halloween is coming early to downtown Kokomo! Get those costumes out of the closet, bring the kids, and make a night of trick-or-treating around downtown. Stop into local businesses, grab some dinner, and enjoy a little Halloween fun before the big day arrives.

Join us Friday, Oct. 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for First Friday. Costumes encouraged. Candy hunting highly recommended.

And this year… WE’RE TAKING OVER TWO STREETS IN DOWNTOWN KOKOMO! 🤯

And yes... we heard you.

For the first time ever, we’re dedicating an entire street to the BIG KIDS… aka the adults!

One street will be packed with curated vendors, unique experiences, DIY workshops and entertainment created with the adults in mind.

The other street will be overflowing with the family-friendly activities, interactive experiences, trick-or-treating and fun you’ve come to know and love at the Post Party with even MORE to experience this year.

But trust us when we say… we’re just getting started with the announcements. This year, the Showmobile Stage is going to be ROCKING like never before. We’ve been keeping a pretty BIG secret about what’s happening on that stage…

A new destination has officially opened in the heart of downtown Kokomo.

The Kokomo Conference Center officially opened its doors last week, bringing 55,000 square feet of space, an attached Hilton Garden Inn, and new opportunities to welcome visitors from near and far to downtown Kokomo.

From conferences and celebrations to business meetings and community events, the venue will bring more people downtown and give them another reason to stay, explore, eat, shop and experience everything Kokomo has to offer.

And this is just the beginning.

🎸 Mitchell Tenpenny is coming to downtown Kokomo!

On Saturday, Sept. 26, downtown will be the place to be when country hitmaker Mitchell Tenpenny takes the stage at Foster Park.

Known for hits like “Drunk Me,” “Truth About You” and “At The End of a Bar,” Tenpenny brings his signature country sound to Kokomo for a night of live music right here in the heart of downtown.

First Friday returns downtown this Friday, Sept. 4, with Arts, Beats & Eats from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The big moment of the evening happens at Artist Alley, where a brand-new collection of large-scale public art will be unveiled. Come be among the first to see the new pieces and celebrate the artists behind them.

Every September, the alley unveils a brand-new collection of artwork from talented local and regional artists. The current exhibit has had its time to shine so now we wait to see what's coming next.
