In 2025, nearly 80% of International Association of Fire Fighters member line-of-duty deaths were due to occupational cancer.

Every January, in honor of Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month, we aim to raise public awareness of occupational cancer in the fire service and equip firefighters with the information and tools they need to reduce their risk.
