The Mammoth Spring School District joins our community in mourning the passing of Mr. Greg England, a valued member of our district family.

Mr. Greg served the Mammoth Spring School District as a paraprofessional for 6 years. During his time with our district, he became a familiar and caring face in our hallways. He greeted students and staff alike with a smile, offered encouragement, and had an unmatched ability to brighten someone’s day. These qualities made a lasting difference in the lives of those around him.

The loss of Mr. Greg is deeply felt throughout our school community. Our hearts are especially heavy for Mrs. Paula, the England and Noblin families, and all those who loved him.

We understand that this will be a difficult time for our district and the many people who knew and cared for Mr. Greg. Counselors and support services will be available to our students, faculty, and staff as we navigate this loss together. We encourage anyone who needs support to reach out and make use of these resources.

Greg England touched countless lives on “The Hill,” and his legacy will not be forgotten.

Here’s a little history and love for Dolly and Porter Wagoner 💗💗💗

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard this one, but Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner sang “Forty Miles from Poplar Bluff,” and it’s such a beautiful song with a special connection to our area.

Folklore says Porter Wagoner once spent a night right here in the Koshkonong jail, which makes this piece of Ozarks history even more interesting. Porter and Dolly may be gone, but both he and Dolly are true country music legends, and songs like this keep that history alive.

❤️🎶-copied and pasted from Oregon County Historical Society’s President, Hope Reed.
