Just received this from our Entergy rep...

"Hey folks, wanted to reach out regarding the outages tonight. We have crews working on a multiple issues throughout the community. While we hope to be able to do some larger restorations, we have multiple areas with damage and a significant amount of wire down in surrounding area. We are also seeing a lot of individual customer outages, which will slow the restoration process as well. There’s a strong potential we have will have some customers out overnight. We will be updating the map as we get to individual locations.
Thank you for your patience and your support,"

On Thursday Kosse P. D. was able to thank some of our hard working dispatchers in personally transporting five delicious coffee drinks of their choosing directly to them. These coffees were donated by Duck Mud Coffee. These were made at their new location of 204 S. Narcissus in Kosse Tx. This was in appreciation of them for “National Dispatcher Appreciation Week”. Thank you dispatchers for all you do for the community.

Kosse will keep Chad and his family in our prayers.

After extensive life-saving efforts conducted by the Baylor Scott and White medical professionals, it has been determined that Trooper Chad Walker no longer displays signs of viable brain activity and he remains on life-support until he can share the gift of life as an organ donor. This final sacrifice embodies Trooper Walker’s actions throughout his life and service as a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper. The Walker family is grateful for the continued support and prayers as they remain at Chad’s side.

Press Release from Chief Morris:
While on routine patrol on Saturday April 19, 2020, Officer Koch stopped a vehicle in Kosse on a traffic violation. During the stop, Officer Koch became suspicious due to the actions of the driver. Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle may
contain illegal items. The driver of the vehicle granted Officer Koch permission to search the vehicle. During the search, approximately 23 ounces of ma*****na and a handgun along with several other items were located in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked into Limestone County Jail. Congratulations to Officer Koch on a job well done.

This should serve as a reminder that Kosse is not immune to criminal activity, but due to the continued work and professionalism of the members of the Kosse Police Department we are maintaining a near zero crime rate within the city, in order to allow all citizens of Kosse to feel safe in their homes and in the community. Once again, the Kosse Police Department thanks all of our citizens for their support.
