The City of Kotzebue Fire Department is excited to announce the newest ambulance to our fleet of emergency response. We would like to thank the Northwest Arctic Borough, Osage Ambulances, and the wonderful community we serve.

The Kotzebue Fire Department would like to congratulate firefighter Josh and firefighter David! Josh and David spent 6 weeks in Texas attending TEEX recruit fire academy. Their dedication, hard work and commitment aided them in their accomplishments.

The Kotzebue Fire Department had ice rescue training last week. The firefighters practiced self rescue techniques as well as rescuing a victim in the water.

We encourage our community and surrounding villages to be safe when traveling and ice fishing.

KFD would like to invite the community to safely participate in a farewell drive for LT. Richard Lewis of the Kotzebue Fire Department on Friday, June 12. It starts at 3PM - 6PM.
Richard served as a volunteer and staff for 10 years!
You are asked to stay in your vehicle for the safety of everyone.
