BOOKS FOR BABIES- HJ Senior Madilyn Moore packed Books for Babies to be distributed at Kountze Public Library. Each bag included a handout with tips on the importance of reading to little ones. The project was sponsored by the Friends of Kountze Public Library.

The Big Thicket Heritage Coalition presents: The Neches River: Wild Heart of East Texas. The Big Thicket Heritage Coalition is made up of a group of organizations who are committed to protecting the Big Thicket in southeast Texas.

Take time to visit some of the booths before and after the movie to meet reps from these groups and get involved. Together we can keep East Texas WILD!

4H PROUD- Texas AgriLife partnered with our Summer Reading Program each week this summer. They are appreciated! On Friday night hard working Hardin County 4Hers were recognized in their 2025-26 Awards Ceremony in Kountze.

Says Texas AgriLife Extension Agent Katie Pace, "Thank you to our 4-H family of parents, family members, friends, and community members, thank you for supporting the youth of Hardin County. We couldn't do this without you!" It was obvious from the number of projects that 4H is going strong in our community.
