Our AR students celebrated their reading accomplishments by adding their handprints to the library wall. We love seeing our little lions grow, learn, and make their mark one book at a time!

We are so proud of our 6th-6 Weeks Star Students! These little lions have worked hard, shown great character, and been shining examples at KES. To celebrate, they enjoyed some yummy ice cream from Sonic!

Kountze ISD Nurses are gearing up for our Annual Health Fair that will be hosted on Thursday July 30, 2026 from 10am-1pm in the Cruse Wilson Gym at KHS.
There will be $10 physicals, free food, free haircuts, Lifeshare, vaccines offered from Hardin County Health Department, free backpacks with school supplies, vendors, and much more!

***Donation Boxes are set up around town for those that want to donate school supplies-see flyer for locations***
If you are interested in having a donation box set up at your business or you are interested in being a vendor at the Health Fair, please contact Michelle Arsement at [email protected]

Last Friday, Mrs. Laird and Mrs. Ferguson celebrated their classes High school Helpers last day. Thank you Uli for all your hard work with our students throughout the year. Best of luck on your Future becoming a Teacher and coach!!

Welp… word is out! Mrs. Yoes is packing up her office at Kountze Elementary and heading back home to lead Buna Elementary! 💛💙
We hate to see her go, but goodness, what a full-circle moment for her to return to her hometown. Buna is getting a gem, and we’ve been pretty lucky to have her shining here at KES!
We won’t say goodbye, just a good ol’ fashioned “see ya later, alligator!” 🐊�Thank you, Mrs. Yoes, for loving our staff, cheering on our students, and leading with heart every step of the way. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁♥️🖤
