🍎Attendance Matters🍎

✏️Facts for Elementary Parents✏️

🦅While being in school every day puts students of all ages on the road to success, regular attendance is especially important in elementary school. These are the years when the foundation for success is built!

🤧Sometimes students have to miss school, and that's ok. But missing too much school can be a big problem.

📣Chronic absenteeism is missing at least 10% of the school year.

📝For most school districts, this is two or more days a month.

🏫Early attendance habits affect later attendance—and school success.

🖍️Absenteeism in kindergarten and 1st grade are associated with negative outcomes in those grades-and in later grades as well.

Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we can’t wait to welcome our Krebs Eagles back!

Just a few quick reminders to help the first few days run a little smoother:

Breakfast & Outside Food:
Our breakfast is free to ALL students. Students are not allowed to bring any outside food into the cafeteria in the morning. Please make sure any outside breakfast is eaten prior to dropping off. We start serving breakfast at 7:35 and school starts at 8:00 am.

Water Bottles:
Please make sure to send a clear water bottle (no metal) with your child.

🚗💛 A Great Day Starts Here at Krebs! 💛🚗
Help us make our morning drop-off line smooth, safe, and speedy so every student can start the day on time!
Please take a moment to review these simple drop-off reminders with your child before the first day of school:
✔️ Have backpacks ready.
✔️ Once you reach the drop-off spot, have seatbelts already unbuckled.
✔️ Save longer goodbyes for home.
✔️ If your child needs extra time, please pull into the parking lot so the drop-off line can continue moving.
✔️ If your child arrives after 8:00, please park in a parking spot (do not leave your car running on the curb) and walk them inside the school and check-in at the kiosk.
We appreciate your patience during the first few days of school. The line will move much faster once everyone gets into the routine!
🕢 PK3 & PK4 Drop-off begins at 7:30 AM
🕢 K-8th Drop-off begins at 7:35 AM
🍎 Breakfast is served from 7:35–8:00 AM
📚 Class begins promptly at 8:00 AM

Being at school on time sets the tone for the whole day! Every minute of learning counts, and we want each child to begin the day feeling calm, confident, and ready to learn.
Thank you for helping us make every morning a safe, smooth, and positive start for all of our Krebs Eagles. We can’t wait to see everyone on the first day of school!

**Let’s Make Krebs Eagles Afternoon Pick-Up Smooth & Safe!**

As we begin the new school year, we ask for your patience during afternoon pick-up. The first few days always take a little longer as we learn new students, vehicles, and car tag numbers, but the line will move much faster once everyone gets into the routine.
Please take a moment to review the pickup procedures and traffic flow map. Following these simple steps helps us keep our students, staff, and families safe while making dismissal as smooth and efficient as possible.
📍 A few reminders:
• Have your car tag visible before entering the pickup line.
• Stay in your vehicle and follow the designated pickup route.
• If possible, have your child load on the passenger side for everyone’s safety.
• PK3 & PK4 afternoon pick-up begins at 3:15.
• PK3 & PK4 afternoon pick-up line arrival time is 3:05. Please do not park in the street before 3:05 pm. This is for the safety of our students.
• K-8th afternoon pick-up begins 3:35.
• Arrival time for the afternoon pick-up line for K-8th is 3:25 pm. Please do not park in the streets before 3:25 pm.
📅 Beginning August 17, when our Extended Care Program starts, the afternoon pickup line will be much shorter.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support as we kick off another great year at Krebs Together, we’ll make afternoon pick-up safe, smooth, and successful for everyone!

📚✨ BACK-TO-SCHOOL TIPS FOR A HAPPY & HEALTHY START! ✨📚
Getting back into the school routine can take a little time! A few simple steps at home can help your child feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn.
⏰ Establish a Routine
Start getting back to consistent bedtimes and wake-up times. Predictable morning and evening routines can help children get enough rest and make school mornings less stressful.
🎒 Practice Independence
Encourage your child to practice age-appropriate tasks on their own—getting dressed, tying shoes, zipping backpacks, opening lunch containers, and keeping track of their belongings. These little skills can build confidence at school!
🌙 Prepare the Night Before
Lay out clothes, pack backpacks and lunches, and make sure homework or school supplies are ready. A little preparation the night before can make mornings much calmer.
💬 Talk About What to Expect
Discuss their new teacher, classroom, transportation, after-school plans, and daily routine. Give them a chance to ask questions and talk about anything they may be excited or nervous about.
🍎 Build Healthy Habits
Prioritize a good night’s sleep, a nutritious breakfast, plenty of water, and regular physical activity. Healthy routines help support energy, concentration, and learning throughout the school day.
⭐ Celebrate Small Wins
The transition back to school doesn’t have to be perfect! Praise effort, independence, and progress—even the little things. Positive encouragement can go a long way toward building confidence.
❤️ Remember: Every child adjusts differently. Be patient, keep routines consistent, and give them a little extra encouragement during those first few weeks.
Prepared kids. Confident kids. Happy kids. 🍎📚✏️
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and successful school year!

💉 **Immunization Reminder for Kindergarten & 7th Grade Families**
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, this is a friendly reminder that **students entering Kindergarten and 7th grade must meet Oklahoma's immunization requirements** before the first day of school.
If your student still needs required immunizations, please schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider or local health department as soon as possible to avoid any delays in starting school.
If you plan to request an immunization exemption, information and the official exemption forms are available through the Oklahoma State Department of Health:
