Attention Hill County Residents:

To better serve our community and streamline the permitting process, Hill County is officially moving to an online system for all burn permits!

Starting immediately, you can obtain your permit from the comfort of your home or mobile device. This new system helps us track active burns more accurately and ensures everyone has the most up-to-date safety information.

How to get your permit:

Visit the new portal here: https://app.egovmt.com/burnpermit/

***Please remember to always check local weather conditions and fire restrictions before lighting. You must activate your permit EVERY time you burn. Only one permit needed each year and are a cost of $10/year.

Kremlin Fire had a combine fire in the district this last weekend.

Kremlin Fire will be conducting a controlled burn this Saturday, June 22nd. This will be a preventative fuels reduction and training exercise. Smoke will be visible along the north side of Hwy 2 between Double R and the Fresno Tavern, near Mile Marker 373. We will also be performing maintenance and flowing water from the fire hydrants in the District, as well as testing hoses.
