THANK YOU, Kremmling 🙏

Before the 4th, we asked everyone to skip the personal fireworks this year because conditions were just too dangerous.

And from what we saw, Kremmling agreed that was the right call - because we had no personal fireworks set off in Town on the 4th.

Not. ONE.

Thank you for using common sense, looking out for your neighbors, and helping keep Kremmling and our portion of the County safe. We appreciate you!

We could drone on about how fireworks are illegal in Town... because they are ❌

But we'd rather focus on the end goal of getting our community and surrounding areas safely through fire season.

Grand County is in an unprecedented drought. Fire conditions are extremely dangerous. The fuels around us are critically dry, and one spark can turn into something very serious very quickly 🔥

So before you light off personal fireworks this 4th of July, please just stop and think about what you could be putting at risk.

Your neighbors.
Your kids.
Your pets.
Our firefighters.
Homes. Property. Livestock. The whole community.

We all love the 4th of July and a good celebration. But a few seconds of fun is just not worth it right now.

Please skip the personal fireworks this year. Thank you for helping keep Kremmling safe.

🚨Exceptional dry conditions🚨
🚨Fire Restrictions🚨
🚨Personal fireworks are not worth the risk🚨

As we head into the heart of the summer season, the Kremmling Fire Protection District urges everyone to exercise extreme caution. Due to current critical dry conditions and active fire restrictions, we are officially asking all community members to completely forgo personal fireworks this year.

It only takes a single spark to trigger a catastrophe.

⚠️ Why the Risk is Too High Right Now
Severe Conditions: Low humidity, dry vegetation, and unpredictable winds mean that any fire starting now will spread rapidly and be incredibly difficult to contain.

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions: Local fire restrictions are legally enforced to protect lives, property, and our beautiful natural surroundings. Setting off personal fireworks is a direct violation of these safety measures.

06/29/2026

Hot, dry, and windy conditions are expected again today. This will lead to critical fire weather conditions across much of the higher terrain, along and south of I-70 and Middle Park.
