Attention Young Riders & Parents! This is your final weekend to get signed up — Kuna Butte OHV Safety Courses wrap up this weekend, so don't miss your last chance to register!
We're offering free Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Safety Courses for riders under 16.
Idaho law requires unlicensed operators under age 16 to complete an Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation approved safety course before riding on National Forest Service roads and public lands designated or maintained for OHV use (Idaho Code 49-302(11)a). These classes make you a better, more confident rider and keep everyone on the trail safer.
All classes are held at Kuna Butte, located at the intersection of Kuna Mora Rd and Forrey Rd in Kuna. For the final schedule of dates and times visit reced.idaho.gov.
What to bring: a parent or legal guardian, a properly sized and operational OHV displaying a valid 2026 or 2027 OHV sticker, a DOT-approved helmet, eye protection, gloves, a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and over-the-ankle boots. Proper gear isn't just a requirement — it's what keeps you riding all season long.
To register, visit reced.idaho.gov.
