Our Story

In 2015 Eldred Township acquired the community Center with the intention of using the building a s a community resource for various entities. The Supervisors envisioned renting rooms to small businesses and having public spaces available for local residents events.

That all changed in the next year when the Supervisors rented some space to the West End Food Pantry. Karena Thek and her army of volunteers, starting small and growing fast, brought a new purpose to the east end of the building.

Shortly after, and with a few false starts, the Eldred Township Community Center Thrift Store, under the supervision of Donna Deihl and Shirley Krum has expanded to occupy most of the rest of the building.

Carey Krum continues his “Jam Sessions”on Mondays and shares his room generously with the volunteers for meetings and lunches.
