Our Summer here at Blakeslee has been filled with lots of fun experiences! Many have enjoyed creating tie-dye t-shirts, kayaking along the Cape Fear River, and utilizing our Rec Room.
As we finish out the remainder of our "Peak Season", our swimming pool will regretfully be closed.

Friday night’s outdoor concert has been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather. Please see original post from the event organizers.

Out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to give our vendors and talent time, we are cancelling tomorrow night's concert at Blakeslee Air Force Recreation Area.

"The upcoming weather forecast shows the potential for heavy rain, with locally heavy flooding possible in the area. A slow-moving cold front will approach and stall over southeast North Carolina later Thursday through Friday. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall could produce rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts possible."- Kure Beach Fire Chief Kennedy

The decision does not come lightly as we enjoy the music, the sunset and the people. We will see you on August 14th for Joe Copple & the Wild East Band☀
