F45 Training Monkey Juntcion is hosting a free 45 minute workout at the Ocean Front Park in Kure Beach on Saturday, October 31st starting at 8am. Everyone is welcome!

Whether you're here to sweat it out or just have fun, this Halloween-themed workout will get your heart racing and your spirits lifted. Dress up in your favorite costume, bring your energy, and let's make this a memorable morning of moves, laughs, and good vibes. Bring a water bottle and workout shoes.

One week until the first AI Roundtable program at the Kure Beach Community Center.

The Kure Beach Community Center is pleased to announce the launch of the AI Roundtable (AIRT), a new monthly program designed to help residents explore and better understand the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence. The inaugural session, AI Basics, will be held on October 13 from 6:30-8:00 PM and led by Dr. Sohail Sukhera, Program Director for Artificial Intelligence at Cape Fear Community College. This introductory session will cover core concepts, common terminology, and the major functions of modern AI systems—providing a clear, accessible foundation for anyone curious about how these tools work.

The AI Roundtable will meet on the second Tuesday of each month and is open to all ages. Each session will blend straightforward explanations with real‑world examples and open discussion, with future topics ranging from AI in education to the economics behind today’s language models. The program is free, open to the public, and part of the Community Center’s ongoing commitment to offering high‑quality learning opportunities for Pleasure Island residents.
