Congratulations to Dr. Nicole Romanski on receiving the 2026 Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA) Outstanding Art Educator in Higher Education Award! She will be honored at the PAEA Art and Soul Conference on Friday, October 16, in Williamsport, PA.

For the past 23 years, Dr. Romanski has been a professor in Kutztown University's Department of Art Education, where she now serves as assistant chair and coordinator of the M.Ed. in Art Education program. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in arts integration, qualitative research, childhood art, and leadership.

Her research and publications investigate narrative pedagogy and arts integration, exploring art-making processes and story-building strategies that help individuals and communities restory personal and collective narratives — cultivating empathy and understanding for oneself and others.
