Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department Founded in 2006, we provide emergency services to Weisenberg Township and the surrounding community.

Our team of over 30 volunteer firefighters provides fire protection, responds to vehicle accidents, and assists area emergency medical crews on critical calls. We train every Monday night at 6:30pm and have a monthly administration meeting every 1st Monday of the month at 7:00pm. For controlled burns, call Lehigh County Communications at 610-437-5252.

It's Hoagie time again! This month in addition to Hoagies, we're offering four FUN Nesting Box Creamery Ice Cream Sandwich flavors: MOCHA with Oreo wafer, MINT with Oreo wafer , Classic Vanilla with chocolate wafer and Classic Vanilla with Chocolate Chip Cookie, YUM!

We still have a few Challenge Coins and 20th Anniversary Mugs available for purchase - these make great gifts! You can purchase on line until Monday, September 28th.

Pick up is at the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department Thursday, October 1, from 2pm - 6pm.

Last call for on-line orders - we’ll close the link at 5pm on Monday!

We have the following Nesting Box Creamery flavors available this month:

- Carmel Heath Bar (for the Caramel lovers!)
- Brownie Batter (for the chocolate lovers!)
- Mint Chip (a perenial favorite with an extra special, luscious crème de menthe base!).

Half gallons are $13, with a portion of all sales going to the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department - thank you for your support!

As always, we have our meaty hoagies from Thomson's Meat Market in Walnutport ($7!), and extra special this month, we have Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department 20th Anniversary Challenge Coins and coffee mugs!

The collectable coins and mugs are only $10 and are a great way to commemorate the twenty years that Our Family has been Protecting Your Family.

This past week, our members responded to 8 calls: one animal rescue, one standby, two motor vehicle accidents, two police assists, and two EMS assists.

Back-to-school shopping means one thing is right around the corner: school buses will soon be back on the roads. Remember to slow down and stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, and give children plenty of room when they are getting on or off the bus. Let’s all do our part to make sure every student gets to and from school safely.

Due to an emergency call during our Open House, we were unable to perform the vehicle rescue demonstration as planned.

On Monday, August 3, at 6:45 PM, our members will be utilizing the vehicle from the demonstration for a vehicle rescue training evolution. While this will not be a formal demonstration, we will be going through a similar routine and would like to welcome the public to attend and learn.

If you are interested, come out and see firsthand how our members train for real-world emergencies, and learn more about the skills, techniques, and equipment used during vehicle rescues.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and hope to see you there!

This past week, our members responded to 8 calls: one automatic fire alarm, one outside fire, one motor vehicle accident, one reported air emergency, two structure fires, and two police assists.

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to celebrate our 20th anniversary and Community Center grand opening. We truly appreciate the support from our community, friends, and families who helped make the day a success.

Today is the day! Shuttles will between locations will begin at 8:30 AM. Remarks at our station will be at 12:00 PM with a rescue tool demonstration immediately following - you won’t want to miss it! Limited edition challenge coins and mugs will be for sale at both the station and community center ($10 each). Both the coins and mugs are limited in quantity and will likely sell out fast. Know Before You Go! Our 20th anniversary event is fast approaching! We have some details about the day in the images below. The festivities start at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. At 12:00pm we will hear remarks from State Representative Gary Day and fire department leadership. A vehicle rescue demonstration will follow. There are tons of fun things to do at the station throughout the day.

PARKING INFO: There will be NO PARKING AT THE FIRE STATION. All parking will be at the community center or the elementary school. We will have an area for handicap drop-off at the fire department. Shuttles will be available to move attendees between events throughout the day. There is also a short walking path from the school to the station.
