Beginning Monday, June 15, and continuing through Saturday, October 31, Bebee Road will be temporarily closed at IH-35 as part of the 2022 Road Bond Program construction project.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured through the new IH-35/Kohlers Crossing intersection and along the Kohlers Crossing extension, reconnecting with Bebee Road west of Republic Drive. One lane in each direction will remain open to accommodate through traffic.

The work being done on Bebee Road includes widening it from two lanes to four with a center turn lane, the addition of drainage, curbs, and sidewalks along both sides.

Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Please follow all posted traffic control devices, watch for construction crews and equipment, and use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.

🤩Yep, that’s dirt moving on Windy Hill Road.

Work has started on the voter-approved Windy Hill Road 2022 Road Bond project. 🎉

Crews are clearing, grading and prepping the area for the major widening of the in-city limits portion of Windy Hill. This project will widen Windy Hill Road from the I-35 northbound frontage road to Purple Martin Avenue, including added lanes, intersection improvements, sidewalks, and drainage work.

We know construction is not anyone’s favorite neighbor, especially when it is close to home or part of your daily drive. Thanks for sticking with us as this work gets rolling.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the project moves ahead and traffic impacts change.

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Because of their sacrifice, we have the freedom to gather as neighbors, care for our families, serve our community and build a city rooted in connection and shared purpose.

The City of Kyle remembers and honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and we remain grateful for the freedoms and community their service helped make possible.
