Kyle Elementary Facebook Fan Page Commenting Rules


The Kyle Elementary School Facebook Fan Page is provided for the community by Kyle Elementary School (KES). We will update this page as often as possible to share as much as we can about KES and the achievements of the students and staff, as well as other information of interest about the campus. The intent is not to keep information critical of

the campus from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of Kyle Elementary staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed (and is just generally rude). The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they follow the campus's commenting rules, as well as the campus’s acceptable use guidelines regarding Internet access and practices. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, because the fan page is intended as a positive means of communication between Kyle Elementary and its patrons, we will remove postings from the campus's profile or fan page that:

• Break the law or encourage others to do so. If you are talking about somebody else’s work, reference this or the person, and where possible include a link.

• Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic and sexist, as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit.

• Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms.

• Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others – i.e. don’t pick fights or goad others into inflammatory debates. Nobody likes a bully.

• Are spam – i.e. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. If you wouldn’t want to receive it yourself, don’t post it. The page administrators reserve the right to not post or remove any comments at any time, for any reason…but we hope that won’t ever be necessary. The page administrators also reserve the right to update or amend these commenting rules. Our commenting rules follow the campus's social networking and Internet policies, which can be found on the Kyle Elementary website and in Policy CQ in the Board Policy Manual online. Online Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year for all new and returning families!

How to Register:
Log into your PSS account and click the Online Registration tab or access our Hays CISD Student Online Registration system directly to complete the process. https://haystx.teams.hosting/selfserve/EntryPointHomeAction.do?parent=true

PSS and Registration Assistance:
April 1 - June 4: please visit your campus during school hours or email your campus registrar.

June 8 - August 7: please visit our central office for assistance.

Hays CISD offers a free PK program option for families who meet one of the state qualifying options and a tuition PK program for all other families.
