🎉 HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING SCHOOL FAMILY! 🎉

What a whirlwind of end-of-the-year fun we have had! From field trips to picnics to Field Day, our school family has gone completely above and beyond. We have some very special shout-outs to make to the incredible people who kept our kids running, bouncing, learning, and fueled up:

🏁 Field Day Success:

Our Master Organizers: A giant round of applause for Ms. Marczak for organizing the entire Field Day event, and Mrs. Senske for organizing all of our awesome shirts! 📋👕

The Inflatables Crew: A huge thank you to Scott Lloyd and the Spencer family for bringing and setting up the amazing inflatables! They were a massive hit! 🏰✨

The Behind-the-Scenes Heroes: Thank you to all of our hard-working PTO concession workers and errand runners who kept everything moving smoothly all day long.

🚌 Unforgettable Field Trips

K-1 Museum Trip: A big shout-out for the Kindergarten and 1st-Grade trip to the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum! Thank you deeply to the CJ Sullivan PTO, and KBIC Promise Neighborhoods for making this hands-on learning experience possible. 🏛️

2nd Grade Splash Pad Fun: Our second graders walked down to the splash pad, enjoyed a wonderful picnic lunch, and cooled off with a delicious ice cream treat supplied by the L'Anse PTO

3rd Grade Adventure: Our third graders had an amazing time exploring Chutes and Ladders and checking out the incredible displays at the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum! 🛝💎

4th Grade Expedition: Our fourth graders got to take in some of the most beautiful views in the UP with their trip to Lake of the Clouds! 🏔️☁️

🍔 Upper El Picnic
Grades 3-5 End-of-Year Picnic: Thank you to everyone who lent a hand, volunteered, and worked together to make the 3rd–5th grade picnic a wonderful celebration for our Upper Elementary students! 🍉🌭 A special thank you to all the parents who sent in those awesome treats for the students to enjoy. You put a big smile on everyone's face! 🍪🍓

We truly have the best school family around. Thank you all for stepping up and making these final weeks of school so incredibly memorable for our Hornets! 🐝❤️

🍏🥛 THE SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM IS BACK! ☀️

We are so excited to announce that free breakfast and lunch will be available to all children under the age of 18 living in Baraga County this summer!

To help our food service team prepare, please let us know if you would like meals provided for your child(ren) by completing the order form below.

📌 How It Works:
One & Done: You only need to submit one form per household for the entire summer!

Pickup Day & Time: Food pickup will be every WEDNESDAY between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

Pickup Location: Parking available in the front of the school, pick-up in the cafetorium.

🚨 NEW National Requirement: Due to a new national food service rule implemented this year, a parent or guardian must be the person who picks up the food.

⏰ Important Order Deadlines:
Weekly Deadline: Please submit your order form by NOON ON THURSDAY to receive food for the following week.

Missed a week? No problem! If you miss a deadline, simply fill out the form for the remaining weeks of summer and submit it before the next Thursday at noon.

It's the last full day of school for us! Hallway fashion: Gen Z vocabulary edition.

Mr. Connor and his Machine Woods class worked hard to build these birdhouses and donated them to the golf course. The different colors will be different yard markers along the course. The students did a great job with this project!

These students have shown incredible GRIT, a strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and a love of learning. They are willing to lend a helping hand, make others feel cared for, lead by example, and maintain a positive outlook every day. We have also seen tremendous academic growth and dedication as they work hard to ensure all of their work is completed.

Thank you for being positive leaders and role models in our school. We are proud of all you have accomplished this year!

As summer begins, we hope you enjoy plenty of time outside, making memories, having fun in the sun, and spending time with family and friends.

Have a safe and wonderful summer break! We can't wait to see what you'll accomplish next year.
