Michael Myers, Chief of the Blandville Rural Fire Department, is someone who has always answered the call to serve others. There is no one more dedicated to this community than Michael and now it’s our turn to show up for him.

Michael is currently battling renal cell carcinoma, and his family could use our support during this difficult time. He and his wife, Melissa, along with their son Easton, call Blandville home and they’ve given so much to our community.

Ballard County is now under a Tornado Watch until 11:00 PM CDT tonight (Monday, April 27, 2026).

🌪️ What does a Tornado Watch mean?
A watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop in and around our area. It does NOT mean a tornado is currently happening—but it means you need to stay alert and be ready to act quickly if warnings are issued.
