UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE.....

We will be es**rting Emily home around the 3:00 mark. We will come through Kevil, down Broadway in LaCenter, down Turner Landing Road, turn into Oscar Road to their residence. Please come out and wave and show some Love for Emily.

EMILY IS COMING HOME!

Wednesday, February 14th Emily Dulworth will be coming home! Emily and her family should be arriving in the County between 3-4. Emergency Services will be giving her an es**rt to her home. We will be taking US 60 through Kevil to LaCenter and will turn on Broadway in LaCenter to Bandana. Come out and show her some Ballard County Love as we welcome her back home. We will post a more accurate ETA tomorrow.

A little a history on Emily:

Sept 1, 2020 diagnosed with brain cancer, Medulloblastoma

Sept 4, total resection on tumor

Sept 13, another craniotomy for to relieve pressure on the brain from fluid retention

Sept 18, discharged from Vanderbilt

Oct 6 we began a new journey at Barnes Jewish for proton radiation and chemo for 6 weeks

Dec 29 we began our 1st journey back at Monroe Carroll Children’s at Vandy with chemotherapy. She had 9 cycles. Completed this journey on Nov 8 2021

On Dec 8, 2022 it was confirmed that her cancer had returned, this time on her lower spine.

Dec 26, 2022 she had surgery to remove the tumor and it was a success!

In Jan 2023 she received 5 radiation treatments and started another chemo journey in Feb. this time we received 12 months of intense chemo. After the 12th round of chemo Jan 2024, 3 days later she went into cardiac arrest and septic shock because of intestinal issues that leaked out into her blood stream. Her liver took the biggest hit after the arrest. All bloodwork to this day shows her numbers are coming down and headed in the right direction. We have been discharged at Nortons and Frazier Rehab and will be getting outpatient PT here locally.

Tyler was a member of Rescue Squad and on firedepartments across the county. He always gave back to this community. He won member of the year last year for dedication, he always ran towards danger. Please pray for his family, also remember all these departments that work and train beside each other and build a brother hood with each other. Tyler will always be one of us. The volunteers are looking for one of their own brothers. Please give what you can to his lovely wife and babies. If you have nothing lift them all up in prayers. Please! -Sheila Johnson
