Sergeant Michael Ernster was happy to visit with the preschoolers from Kids' Company School Age Child Care at La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools.

It was a great day for the littles to grab sunshine and a badge sticker. It’s possible Sergeant got to answer about 40 questions, too. 😃

We join the Hokah Police Department in mourning the loss of retired Chief of Police Rodney Blank.

Chief Blank dedicated many years of service to the Hokah community, leading with integrity, commitment, and compassion. His contributions to law enforcement and the community he served will leave a lasting legacy.

On behalf of the La Crescent Police Department, we extend our deepest condolences to Chief Blank's family, friends and everyone whose lives he touched during his distinguished career.

Rest in peace, Chief Blank. Thank you for your service. You will not be forgotten. 💙🖤

Happy summer! Two announcements:

The La Crescent Police Dept’s 20th National Night Out will be here soon! (Tue August 4).

Swim time used to start at 6:30pm but this year there is an extra hour to enjoy the La Crescent Aquatic Center (free during NNO).
💦 The pool will be open 5:30pm - 8:00pm.

Secondly, we thank the generous sponsors who make this yearly event such a success!
⭐️ It’s not too late to donate! ⭐️

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police & community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie. It will be a fun night to unite!
