129 Vehicles Protected at Our Catalytic Converter Etching Event
Today, Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station partnered with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Vehicle Theft Task Force to host a Catalytic Converter Etching Event at La Cañada High School in City of La Cañada Flintridge.
During the event, technicians etched the catalytic converters of 129 vehicles with unique identifying numbers. This simple but effective theft-prevention measure helps deter thieves and can assist law enforcement in identifying and returning stolen catalytic converters that are later recovered during criminal investigations.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and took proactive steps to help protect their vehicles from theft.
While we do not have any specific details to announce at this time, we hope to host another catalytic converter etching event in the future and will share information as it becomes available.
Thank you to the Vehicle Theft Task Force and all of the personnel who helped make this event a success.
