The City of La Crosse Common Council officially adopted its Climate Action Plan in January 2023. In addition to three Wastewater Utility electric vehicles, we utilize four hybrid Municipal Transit Utility (MTU) buses and a fleet of almost two dozen hybrid vehicles spread across various departments.

The La Crosse Wastewater Utility remains committed to sustainability as it now has three electric vehicles (EVs) in its fleet. The department started purchasing EVs in 2023 and has found tremendous benefits to its operations.
