Please join us in congratulating our 4 newest firefighters. FF Tony Meyer, FF/EMT Lily Johnson, FF/EMT Mallory Arrowood, and FF/EMT Ben Gerling completed their entry-level firefighting class on May 30 with their final live fire evolution. This dedicated group has spend hours in the classroom and training to learn the skills needed during emergency incidents. CONGRATULATIONS!

SFD did some training tonight on the ORA trails with our newly purchased one-wheel stretcher. This allows us to extricate patients out of the woods, off biking trails, and hiking trails when an emergency arises. Great work team!

Members from Shelby Fire Department, Stoddard Bergen Fire Department , and La Crosse Fire Department; along with staff from Kids at Play Daycare, received training from forensic investigators on child abuse detection from Stepping Stones Child Advocacy. This training will help us better identify signs of child abuse and assist in getting the help needed for our communities.
