You know how it goes — you’ve got a birthday party planned at the park, shelter all rented, and then the weather turns and it starts raining. When that happens and you need a quick indoor backup, Play Grounds of La Crosse is a reliable option!

This time of year, even on weekends we typically have extra birthday party slots open, so if you’re looking for something last minute just give us a call or book your party online. The kids can still have their celebration without you having to scramble for a new plan!

It’s our daughter’s first day at her very first job! 🎉

She’s very excited and we’re so proud of her! Come on in in the morning this week and order some drinks or food— give her some real-world practice and a big smile while you’re at it.

She’s ready to make your favorite coffee, breakfast sandwich, or whatever you’re craving. Stop by and show her some love! ❤️

🌡️ Whew, it’s a hot one out there today!

Summer isn't officially here yet, but it sure feels like it. When it’s this warm, the last thing you want is the kids (or you) getting overheated outside. That’s exactly why Play Grounds of La Crosse is such a lifesaver on days like this over traditional playgrounds.

Step inside to the the air conditioning, let the kids run and play in a clean space, use the restrooms without any hassle, and grab something from the café when you need a break. No sunscreen battles, no worrying about sunburns — just comfortable, easy fun.

☀️ Hey everyone! We’ve been playing around with some recipes and jumped on the dirty soda trend with some fun new summer drinks!

From left to right we’ve got:
🍓 Tropical Dew – Mountain Dew + pineapple, coconut & strawberry
🧈 Butter Beer – butterscotch, root beer and cream
🍊 Orange Creamsicle – Sunkist, vanilla & cream
🍍 Pineapple Pier – Starry, pineapple, peach & cream
🥥 North Shore – Pepsi, coconut, vanilla & cream

We’re also happy to mix and match whatever flavors you’re craving! Just let us know what you want.

Also — big congrats to Learning Tree Childcare Center for winning our Summer School Program field trip drawing! 🎉 When your group or childcare center wants to set up a field trip with us, just shoot us a DM and we’ll get all the details squared away for you.

Hey everyone!

As we finish up the school year, just wanted to give you a quick heads-up on the last few field trips we have coming in.

This Wednesday (May 20th) we’ve got a smaller group stopping by from 9am to noon.

Then next week we’ve got 3 bigger groups from the same school. We split them up over a few days to make it more manageable, but it’ll definitely be busier than usual around here. These have been on our online calendar for months and we’ve had signs up at the front door, but figured it was worth an extra post just in case!

Here are the details:
• Tuesday, May 26th — 9am to noon (70 students)
• Wednesday, May 27th — 9am to noon (88 students)
• Thursday, May 28th — 9am to noon (72 students)

Super exciting announcement incoming!

Over the last few months we’ve been doing tons of research and planning. We have been through many design iterations on our facility as a whole, and have settled on what we think will maximize our space, keep as many of our existing play structures as possible while improving on others.

Starting very soon, we will be beginning construction to build the area’s only Laser Tag arena! And this won’t be just any laser tag like you remember d**g as a kid with splattered paint and a few random columns thrown in. We will be using our 10 years of experience from building over a dozen Escape Rooms to build an incredible, immersive and interactive laser tag experience. We’ve partnered with Laserforce for our equipment, which is widely know in the industry as being the best in the business. (This is the actual arena and equipment we're purchasing in the promo video.) On top of this, we will be adding an exciting arcade with a prize redemption counter!

We will be giving updates as we get closer to starting construction. While it will be a fairly large undertaking, we will coordinate the sub contractors to minimize the amount of closure time. For those that have memberships, our system has the ability to “pause” your membership. So you won’t miss out on any days remaining on your billing cycle. We will posting daily updates during the construction phase to keep you along for the ride to see updates.

We’re incredibly excited to make these changes and hear your thoughts! Tag a friend, co worker, or family member who's kids (and parents) will love these additions to our facility! We will give some context and transparency to why were making these changes in the top comment.

Update on Our New Check-In Process

If you’ve visited us in the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed our front door propped open and our team personally greeting and checking guests in.
Now that we’re in our slower season and not constantly busy at the café, we’ve decided to test a new approach: we’ll check you in personally as you arrive. This allows us to provide a warmer welcome and smoother experience from the moment you walk in.

You can still pre-purchase your day passes or memberships online in advance. However, if you prefer, you’re also welcome to pay at the café counter when you arrive. We’ve found this is especially helpful for first-time visitors who might otherwise struggle with the purchase process.

For the time being, we’ll continue using this personal check-in system. We will switch back to the keypad entry system on unusually busy days (such as during inclement weather, school closures, staffing shortages, or peak café rushes). This flexibility allows us to maintain excellent customer service even during high-volume times.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to find the best system for our community. For those that have decided to keep their memberships for the summer, we truly appreciate your support!

👋 Hey Play Grounds of La Crosse families and friends!

We’re making some updates behind the scenes to our website.

During this transition, our site may show a “not secure” warning and could take up to 48 hours to fully activate and show correctly. But it usually takes much less time. This is completely normal and temporary while everything gets updated on our end.

We appreciate your patience as we get this sorted! In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions or to book/play — we’re still here and ready to help.

It’s beautiful outside and it’s been pretty quiet around here this week so we’re using it as an opportunity to clean our parking lot and get our grass so it’s ready to be cut, dusting and cleaning in different parts of the facility, and doing routine maintenance. Enjoy the beautiful sunshine! ☀️
