The UW-La Crosse PD held our formal swearing in ceremony today. Congrats to Sergeant Ames on his promotion and Officer Brandt as he begins his law enforcement journey. Congrats to our new dispatchers Scot and Alivia who direct us to our calls for service. We also want to welcome Bill as our Parking Enforcement Officer. Today, we’re celebrating an amazing milestone: 20+ years of service by Dispatcher Jeri Baller and Administrative Assistant II Amy McDonald with the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse Police Department!

For the past two decades, Jeri and Amy have been a huge part of what keeps our department and campus running smoothly. Whether it’s answering calls, helping students and staff, keeping things organized behind the scenes, handling critical incidents, or simply being someone people can count on, they both bring professionalism, dedication, and a great attitude to work every day.
Jeri and Amy have built strong relationships across campus and have made a lasting impact on our department through their hard work, teamwork, and willingness to always help others. Their experience, humor, and positive energy are appreciated more than they probably realize.
