Oregon Voter Registration...

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 – Last day to register to vote and receive a ballot for the May primary.
You can register in person at your local Union County Clerk office at 1001 Fourth Street, Suite D, La Grande, OR 97850

Wednesday, April 29, 2026 – First day ballots will be sent out to voters.

May 12, 2026 – Last recommended day to mail ballots. After this date, voters should use an official ballot drop box, take their ballots directly to their local elections officials, or go to a USPS location and get their ballots postmarked.

The Oregon Secretary of State works to maximize voter participation, is a watchdog for public spending, makes it easier to do business in Oregon, and preserves and promotes Oregon history.

Non-affiliated voters in Oregon, listen up. Primaries can be tricky because most major party primaries are “closed.” This means you have to be registered with a party in order to vote in that party’s primary. You will need to update your registration to choose a party in order to get a ballot. Don’t miss your chance to help decide which candidates make it to the general election. Check your registration before April 28th to make sure your voice is counted.
