Reminder to our La Grange Park Community: Illinois law has (3) classes of E-Bikes. All of which must have proper markings regarding wattage, classification, top speed and be equipped with pedals. Anything OVER 750 watts is considered a motor vehicle and must adhere to all vehicle codes.

E-Scooter use is prohibited within village limits per Ordinance 72.16 (C)

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 29 at 8:42PM CDT until June 29 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

Please be advised that village hall and the police department will be closed to walk-in visitors due to on-going construction. Normal operations will resume June 30th at 9am.

Please note that this Friday, June 27, Village Hall will be closed to walk-in visitors due to the installation of a new interior ceiling in the main lobby and foyer area.

This temporary closure is being implemented to ensure the safety of all patrons during construction. Village staff will remain available by phone to assist with any needs during this time.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to enhance our facilities. Normal operations will resume on Monday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 18 at 7:28PM CDT until June 18 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL
At 728 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that slow moving showers were continuing across the warned area.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, particularly near
Darien, Lemont, to Burr Ridge. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
other poor drainage areas.
