It's Brush Pickup Week! Public Works started collection in the center part of the Village then will move east and finish up on the west side.

The Village of La Grange Park is continuing to monitor proposed State of Illinois BUILD Initiative legislation related to housing and zoning policy. In a new informational video, Village President Jim Discipio discusses the Village Board’s concerns about how statewide housing and zoning mandates could impact older, fully built-out communities like La Grange Park - including infrastructure capacity, stormwater management and flooding, parking, traffic safety, and preserving local decision-making authority.

The Lyons Township Area Communications Center (LTACC) is accepting applications for a full-time 9-1-1 Telecommunicator.

LTACC is a consolidated 9-1-1 communications center serving the Villages of La Grange, La Grange Park, and Western Springs’ Police and Fire Departments and the City of Countryside Police Department.

Public Works is currently repairing a water main break on Oak Avenue between Robinhood Lane and La Grange Road.

Oak Avenue will be closed between the Library entrance and Robinhood Lane while crews complete repairs. All Library traffic should access the area from La Grange Road.

If possible, please avoid this area until work is complete. Thank you for your patience.

Please join the Community Park District for a Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony on Monday, May 25 at Memorial Park honoring those who have served our country. Music begins at 9:30 a.m., and the American Legion is expected to arrive shortly after.

A few other reminders to residents as we head into the Memorial Day weekend:
- Village offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26 at 9:00 a.m.
- Refuse and recycling services will be delayed by one day next week.
- Overnight parking restrictions are lifted through Monday, May 25. Residents will not need to register their vehicles or their guests' vehicles for overnight parking during this time.

We wish our residents a safe and happy holiday weekend!
