As a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, this hits home today as I’m sure it does with many of you.

Chicago football has been a part of our family for as far back as I can remember and Mike Ditka’s name was household for us coming up as kids. I have the fondest memories of weekends at my cousin’s house, watching my Uncle Bob scream, hoot, holler and yes, swear a hell of a lot, while Ditka’s Bears played. And when I moved to California, teams like the Chicago Bears kept me connected to home.

We didn’t just lose a football legend today, we lost a piece of our city’s history. Rest in peace, Coach.

🐻🔽 forever.
