EMS Week 2026 Improving Outcomes, Together.
“Improving Outcomes, Together extends beyond medicine. It’s a collective responsibility that involves investing in the people behind the care with fair pay, safe staffing levels, mental health resources, leadership that listens and acts, and opportunities for professional growth.
This week, we recognize the people behind the patch and reaffirm our commitment, as partners and communities, to Improving Outcomes, Together.”
This is the theme of EMS week 2026 and the thought behind this theme. This looks different for rural EMS in a volunteer setting. Don’t get us wrong we still need the support, but it looks different. We’re not seeking better pay. Why? Because we do it for free, because we’re passionate about serving our community and helping others. We are already blessed on our department with great leadership and availability to resources for our mental health. So how can we rally behind our EMT’s to show them how we as a community can improve outcomes, together? By showing them our love and support. This community is constantly showing up to support our department and we’re beyond grateful for that. Your gratitude and thankfulness is such a blessing to us as a whole, and especially to the EMT’s when you thank us after a call. We wouldn’t be able to provide the services we do without the overwhelming support and encouragement from our community. If you see a LaGrange EMT this week make sure to thank them for their willingness to be on standby 24/7 and respond when the need arises. Thank them for the training and time they put into being able to serve this community.
