The vehicle is a white pickup truck, and the driver-side door has visible damage, which may help distinguish it from similar vehicles.

The City of La Grange would like to give advance notice of road repairs at the intersection of Highway 71 Business and Washington St next week on Tuesday, August 18th, from approximately 6 am to Noon. To complete the work safely, the eastbound lane of Highway 71 Business will be closed between Main St and Highway 77, with traffic transitioning to one-way. Additional closures will take place along S Washington St down to Crockett St, and at the intersection of N Washington St and Highway 71 Business. Though S Washington St will be closed off to traffic, the Public Parking Lot will remain accessible from Crockett St.

We recognize this work coincides with ongoing TXDOT construction on Highway 77, which may result in heavier-than-normal traffic in the area. Due to last week's water main leak, these repairs need to be completed as soon as possible to prevent any further deterioration of the roadway. Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time, use an alternate route when possible, and follow all posted traffic control devices. Please see the attached map for full details of closure limits and suggested alternate routes for accessing Downtown via Colorado St or traveling east through town via Crockett St.

Finally, while access patterns may change during these repairs, we encourage residents to continue supporting local businesses in proximity to the project area and plan their visits accordingly.

Attention La Grange ISD will be back in session starting tomorrow. Please be aware that traffic around the schools for the next few days may be congested for drop off and pick up times. Be patient and drive safe.

This young man named Lauris will be selling educational books door to door. He has already been checked out and passed the background. He is selling study guides K-12 that helps busy kids, helps parents to help kids with schoolwork and early learning books to give kids a head starts with learning. If you see him around, make him feel welcome.
