My name is Del Lampkin and I am seeking your support in building a stronger La Habra by electing me as your next City Council member. As someone who grew up in a high crime neighborhood south Los Angeles full of poverty, violence, street gangs, and drug addiction, I am very fortunate to have lived my last few years of adult life here in La Habra. Like anything in life worth getting, it did not com

e easy but my experiences as you will learn over time is what makes me an idea candidate who knows what its like to go without, make sacrifices, and work hard for a better tomorrow without excuses. What do I mean when I say "Together, we can build a stronger La Habra Future?" The message is a reflection of the hundreds of residents I have spoken to in La Habra who have expressed concerns about public safety, graffiti, homelessness, and the city budget. As I have attended public events and visited the homes of so many here, know that I hear your concerns, much of them being tied to either not knowing your current city council and government resources available to you or a desire for a new trustworthy steward within city council leadership willing to make the tough decisions that demonstrate the interest of the people and efforts of improving the quality of life for you, our businesses, and those who visit our wonderful community.

After six months of dealing with repeated hacking attempts, countless hours trying to recover my accounts, and two months believing I was receiving legitimate support from Meta—only to discover much of what I was interacting with appeared to be sophisticated AI-driven support that never resolved the problem—I’ve made the decision to officially start fresh.

Sometimes the best way forward is to stop looking backward.

While it’s disappointing to leave behind years of memories, conversations, and content, I’m choosing to see this as an opportunity rather than a setback. A fresh start means new ideas, new stories, new conversations, and even greater opportunities to connect with all of you.

As I gradually discontinue posting and responding on this account, I would greatly appreciate your help by following, liking, and sharing my new pages with your friends and family.

Big things are happening in La Habra — our first La Habra 101 cohort kicks off tomorrow at 6:00 PM!

A commitment was made to you to bring more transparency. This is apart of that delivery. A program with your chance to go behind the scenes of your city government, learn how decisions are made, and discover how you can stay informed and involved.

I’ll be there to welcome our first group and share in the excitement of building a stronger connection between our residents and City Hall.

This is how we grow as a community — by learning, engaging, and showing up.

Today we celebrate Post 267’s 100-Year Anniversary — a milestone that represents generations of men and women who have served our nation in uniform and have continued that service right here in La Habra.

For 100 years, Post 267 has stood as a pillar of patriotism, supporting veterans, uplifting families, and reminding us all what commitment to country and community truly looks like.

It was an honor for me to attend this milestone celebration.

Thank you for 100 years of honor, and for continuing to lead by example. 🇺🇸
