📢 EARLY DISMISSAL – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

Dear LaHarpe Families and Community,

Due to the continued extreme heat and our concern for the safety and well-being of our students and staff, LaHarpe Community School District #347 will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4th

Please make any necessary arrangements for your child’s early dismissal. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility!

7th grade science class is learning about potential and kinetic energy with paper roller coasters. They really enjoyed this hands on activity!

The Little Free Library is located at the front lobby doors and is available to everyone. We would love for people to take advantage of this. You can take any book for keeps, read and return for someone else, and you can even bring books from your own library that you would like to put in it. Happy Reading!

The Hancock County Baseball Tournament will be played in LaHarpe this weekend on Saturday, August 29th and Monday, August 31. We hope to see you all out there cheering on our Eagles!

🚗 CAR LINE REMINDER — NO PASSING ZONE

For the safety of our students, staff, and families, our school car line is a NO PASSING ZONE.

Please remain in line and do not pull around or pass vehicles in front of you, even if your child has already been picked up or dropped off. Students and staff may be walking between vehicles, and passing creates an unnecessary safety risk.

We understand that car line can take a few extra minutes, especially during busy times. Please be patient. Those few minutes are worth it to keep everyone safe.
