TEEN VOLUNTEER APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MAY 16 BEFORE 4 PM!
Applications have been available since April 6, but we realized there are still many teens who have not heard about this wonderful opportunity. Please encourage students who will be entering 7th - 12th grade in the fall to apply. We look forward to having a hardworking team who will be great help to us this summer!

The deadline for the Summer Reading Program Teen Volunteer Applications is quickly approaching! ALL APPS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE 6 PM ON MAY 11! This is a wonderful opportunity to gain work experience that will be beneficial for future jobs, school clubs, and scholarship applications.

This contest continues to be a wonderful way to promote literacy in our community!

We want you all to have some insight on how this contest works. Kimberly Gallegos, Programming & Outreach Coordinator, receives all the stories and compiles them into each age category. Once the deadline has passed, the stories are sent to the panel of judges chosen from our community. Judges only receive the stories (personal info is not included). Judges rank their top 10. Heather Maes, Director of Library Services, and Kimberly go through each selected story giving it a score based on the judges ranking. This process narrows down our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and runner-up places.

We greatly appreciate our judges: Terry Smalling, Peggy Powell, Jenise Trotter, Rick Klein, and Jo Jancar!!
