Please join us in welcoming Meals on Wheels La Mirada as the newest member of the La Mirada Chamber of Commerce!
For more than 50 years, Meals on Wheels La Mirada has been quietly serving some of our community's most vulnerable residents. Since 1975, this dedicated nonprofit has delivered hot, nutritious meals and daily wellness checks to homebound seniors and disabled individuals throughout La Mirada, helping them maintain their independence and remain safely in their own homes.
Their motto, "Service With Friendship," reflects the heart of their mission. Every delivery provides not only nourishment, but also a caring connection and friendly visit that can make a world of difference.
Meals on Wheels La Mirada relies on the support of volunteers, donors, and community partners to continue this important work, and we are honored to welcome them to our Chamber family.
Thank you for making La Mirada a stronger, more compassionate community—one meal, one visit, and one friendship at a time.

Welcome Ralph Gama, Co-President of Meals on Wheels!

Ralph Gama has proudly called La Mirada home for 37 years. He dedicated 31 years of his life to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, serving his communities with dignity and pride before retiring from a distinguished career in law enforcement.

Ralph and his wife Michelle are the proud parents of three children — Katey, Max, and Grace — and he cherishes every moment spent with his family and grandchildren.

Outside of family life, Ralph stays active by hitting the golf course and the gym, and he enjoys traveling whenever the opportunity arises. His commitment to service didn’t end with his retirement — Ralph continues to give back through his work with Meals on Wheels, an organization that allows him to serve the very community he has called home for nearly four decades.

We're grateful to have his leadership and expertise! 👏🏼

Today marks our 51st anniversary! 🎉

Did you know April 1st was declared Meals on Wheels Day in the City of La Mirada in 1985 by Mayor Wayne Rew.

Since 1975, Meals on Wheels La Mirada has served more than 5,000 community members and delivered more than 859,000 meals!

It's an honor and privilege to serve our beloved community ❤️
